COCC Needs Your Help!

• Do NOT open email attachments unless you know what they are.
• Do NOT click any links in your email unless you trust the source and were expecting to receive the email.
• Beware of phishing attacks!
• Beware of spoofing. Don't automatically trust email just because it is from someone you know.
• Tips for avoiding Computer Worms
• Be wary of email informing you about special patches that you need to install. Windows computer patches are set up to be installed automatically once approved by COCC ITS department. If you receive information about suggested patches please ignore them even if they appear to be legitimate (see a list of known hoaxes).
• Restart your machine regularly and when reasonable turn your workstation off at night
